Card Art Ribbon Cutting

A ribbon cutting sponsored by the Covington-Tipton County Chamber of Commerce was recently held at Jezabel's for Card Art by Paige. Mayor Gorfon cut the ribbon.

The Ruffin Theater

The Tipton Arts Council has done a wonderful job with the renovation of the Historic Ruffin Theater. With lots of hard work, a grant from the USDA and lots of love, this beloved community theater is now handicap assessable, has lots of much needed storage room and most importantly (at least to the ladies) extra bathrooms! LOL! On a more serious note, the theater looks amazing and the TAC continues to work hard to provide quality entertainment to Tipton County.

A ribbon cutting was held during Breakfast in Touch January 26th to celebrate the renovations and show off the theater. The ribbon cutting was sponsored by the Covington-Tipton County Chamber of Commerce and Mayor Gordon cut the ribbon.

The West Clinic and The Memphis Heart Clinic

The West Clinic and The Memphis Heart Clinic has recently joined together and opened a brand new state of the art facility in Brighton. The Covington-Tipton County Chamber of Commerce held a ribbon cutting to celebrate their grand opening January 12th. BancorpSouth was a proud sponsor of the money ribbon and Brighton Mayor Jeff Scott cut the ribbon. TOTAL Youth Economic Development

TOTAL Youth recently toured the Covington Square during their Economic Development session. Mayor David Gordon walked with the students as he detailed the renovations that have been done to the square and the renovations that will come in the future.
During the session students also visited with County Executive Jeff Huffman. He talked about different issues throughtout the county and what aspects of his job as County Executive that he enjoys most.

After visiting with the mayors, the future leaders of our county stopped by Jezabel's Gifts and Bead Emporium and spoke with Wayne and DeLynda Rhodes about small business. They each made a beaded key chain before heading to Atoka to eat lunch.
The day ended with a tour of a local industry.
