Breakfast in Touch: Baptist Tipton

Baptist Memorial Tipton hosted Breakfast in Touch March the 26th in the Community Classroom. The hospital prepared a delicious spread that included danish, eggs, bacon, sausage, hash brown casserole, biscuits and fruit. Dr. Mbu, the new Hospitalist, and Skipper Bondurant, the hospital administrator, spoke to the group about the recent renovations and the new equipment and the group had a chance to ask Dr. Mbu about her duties at the hospital and her move to the community.

The next Breakfast in Touch will be held April 30th at Parkway Cove assisted living.

Spring has sprung in Covington. With Easter right around the corner, the Covington Sportsplex is planning a spectacular Easter Extravaganza complete with the Easter Bunny on April 4th. It will be held at the Covington Sportsplex from 9:00 am until 11:00 am at 790 Bert Johnston Rd! This is a FREE EVENT so be sure to hop on down for all the fun.

Music on the Square is an Annual Outdoor Concert series that takes place during May and June on the Historic Downtown Square in Covington. The concerts are held every Saturday night beginning at 7:00 pm and everyone is invited. The music is FREE and is it always family friendly. Bring your lawn chairs and your kids, but please leave your coolers and pets at home. Non-profit vendors will be selling drinks, burgers, hot dogs, and more throughout the evening. Check back in for a complete schedule!

TOTAL Youth Visits Nashville

Every March, the TOTAL Youth group visits Nashville to learn about Tennessee Government, meet the Speaker of the House, and hopefully sit in on a session to get a better understanding of how our government works.
This March the students had the opportunity to meet with the new Speaker of the House Kent Williams, Jimmy Naifeh and Mark Norris. They sat in on a committee meeting, toured the capitol, and had their picture taken with the Governor.
They ended the day with a trip the the Farmers Market and the Bicentennial Capitol Mall Park.

TOTAL Youth Graduation will be held March 31st.
To sign up for TOTAL Youth you must be a Junior in High School during the 2009-2010 school year. Maintain a 3.0 GPA and attend either CHS, MHS, BHS or TRA. To get an application, ask your guidance counselor.
