Every March, the TOTAL Youth group visits Nashville to learn about Tennessee Government, meet the Speaker of the House, and hopefully sit in on a session to get a better understanding of how our government works.This March the students had the opportunity to meet with the new Speaker of the House Kent Williams, Jimmy Naifeh and Mark Norris. They sat in on a committee meet
ing, toured the capitol, and had their picture taken with the Governor.They ended the day with a trip the the Farmers Market and the Bicentennial Capitol Mall Park.
TOTAL Youth Graduation will be held March 31st.
To sign up for TOTAL Youth you must be a Junior in High School during the 2009-2010 school year. Maintain a 3.0 GPA and attend either CHS, MHS, BHS or TRA. To get an application, ask your guidance counselor.
