April 30th was a special day in Tipton County. We are the first county in West Tennessee to sign an official Drug Endangered Child Protocol. All parties that have any involvement, from the police department to the district attorney and every agency in between, worked to form the protocol to help better assist children who are in dangered due to drug related incidents.

Breakfast in Touch: Parkway Cove

Parkway Cove Assisted Living, located on Bert Johnston Drive, hosted Breakfast in Touch in April. Cindy Talley took the group on a tour of the facility. The residents are encouraged to bring their own furniture to make their rooms feel more like home. Everyone is encouraged to be independent, whether it be cooking their favorite meal or working in the flower bed. The staff at Parkway Cove doesn't ask the residents to fit into a schedule, they instead work with the existing schedule of the residents. They all work very hard to provide as many comforts of home as possible.
